“ORANGE BRANDING FOUND A LARGE NUMBER OF SINGLE PEOPLE DON’T HAVE A DISHWASHING MACHINE, AND SO DISLIKE THE AMOUNT OF WASHING UP WORK THEY CREATE”

CHALLENGE
The aim was to eliminate the need for unnecessary cleaning after cooking. User journey mapping would be a vital research tool to spot inefficiencies in the current way a user cooks and cleans.
“USING DUTCH DELFT RESEARCH METHODS PROVIDES AN UNPARALLELED FOUNDATION OF KNOWLEDGE FOR IDEATION SESSIONS.”

SOLUTIONS
Our team developed a range of concepts, finding the most cost effective and innovative design direction was to use the cookware lid as a bowl. The lid required a steam vent, but during testing we considered the vent notch could be used as a chopstick rest further innovating the function.
